Nero Free
Nero Free is a stripped down version of Nero Burning ROM that handles basic data disc burning at no cost. It burns files and folders to CD, DVD, and Blu-ray, creates and burns ISO images, and copies discs. It cannot burn audio CDs or do anything beyond basic data burning. The interface shows ads for paid Nero products. Windows only.
What it does
Open Nero Free, choose Data Disc, drag your files in, and click Burn. That covers the core use case. You can also burn ISO images to disc, create ISO files from your data, and copy one disc to another. Multisession support lets you add more data to a previously burned disc later.
The verify option checks that data was written correctly by comparing the disc contents to the original files after burning. You can erase rewritable (RW) discs for reuse with either a quick or full erase.
