1 Agreement

By using FreewarePub.org (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms occasionally; the date at the top tells you when we last did.

2 What the Service is

FreewarePub is a catalog of free software with direct links to installers hosted by the original publishers. We also provide a set of in-browser online tools (PDF, image, text). We do not host or redistribute the software ourselves - download links point to the official sources.

Information on the site is provided as is. We try hard to keep links, descriptions, and metadata accurate, but the publishers update their software constantly. If you spot something stale or wrong, let us know.

3 Acceptable use

You may:

  • Browse the catalog, click download links, and use any of the online tools for personal or commercial purposes.
  • Post questions and answers in the Q&A sections, write reviews, and rate programs - one rating per program per device.
  • Link to FreewarePub pages from your own site or social media.

You may not:

  • Scrape the site aggressively or run automated requests that interfere with availability.
  • Post spam, malware links, phishing content, hate speech, or anything illegal in the Q&A or reviews.
  • Impersonate other users, FreewarePub staff, or software publishers.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, security checks, or to access non-public parts of the system.

We remove violating content and may block IPs without notice.

4 Software downloads

When you click a download link, you go directly to the publisher's servers. The software itself is governed by the publisher's license and terms - read those before installing.

We do not modify installers, do not bundle them with extra software, and do not earn commissions on downloads. If you ever see a download link that points anywhere other than an official manufacturer source, that is a bug and we want to fix it - tell us right away.

5 User content

You keep ownership of questions, answers, and ratings you post. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on FreewarePub. You confirm the content is yours to post and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

We may edit obvious typos, hide off-topic posts, or remove content that violates these terms. We do not pre-screen submissions - moderation happens reactively.

6 No warranty

FreewarePub is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any specific download link will work at any given moment. Use it at your own risk.

We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, express and implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FreewarePub and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of your use of the Service. This applies even if we were warned of the possibility of such damages.

If you cause us a loss through misuse of the Service, you are responsible for that loss.

8 Copyright complaints

If you believe content on FreewarePub infringes your copyright, use the procedure in our DMCA Policy.

9 Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We can stop offering parts of the Service, or block access for users who break these terms, at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as the liability disclaimer) survive.

10 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in the United States, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
