Glary Utilities

Glary Utilities is a system optimization suite for Windows that bundles disk cleanup, registry repair, startup management, duplicate file detection, and over a dozen other maintenance tools in a single interface. The free version handles most tasks. The Pro upgrade adds scheduled automatic maintenance, driver backup, and priority technical support.

What it does

The main screen offers a 1-Click Maintenance button that scans for junk files, broken registry entries, privacy traces, broken shortcuts, and startup bloat in one pass. After the scan completes, you review findings by category and fix them selectively or all at once. For individual tasks, each tool is accessible through its own tab.

The Duplicate Files Finder scans selected folders and identifies copies based on file name, size, or content hash. The Startup Manager lists every program that loads at boot and lets you disable entries with a toggle. The Context Menu Manager shows all items added to your right-click menu by installed software, so you can remove clutter from entries you never use.

The Uninstall Manager goes beyond the standard Windows uninstaller by scanning for leftover files and registry entries after removal. There is also a Disk Space Analyzer that visualizes which folders consume the most space, helping you find large files buried in nested directories.

Who it is for

I see Glary Utilities as a convenience package for users who want all their maintenance tools in one place without hunting for individual programs. If you already know your way around Windows settings and built-in tools, the added value is limited. The duplicate finder and context menu manager are the two standout tools that are hard to replicate with Windows alone.
