EaseUS Partition Master
EaseUS Partition Master is a disk partition manager for Windows that handles resizing, merging, splitting, and moving partitions through a visual interface. The free version covers basic partition operations, while the Pro edition adds disk cloning, OS migration to SSD, and bootable WinPE media creation.
What it does
The main window shows a disk map at the top and a partition list below. Right-clicking any partition opens a context menu with all available operations. To resize, choose Resize/Move and drag the partition edges or type exact values. To merge two adjacent partitions into one, right-click the first and select Merge, then check the neighbor. Splitting works the opposite way: right-click a partition, choose Split, and set how you want to divide the space. Every operation is queued until you click Execute Task, so you can plan multiple changes before anything touches the disk.
The Pro edition adds disk cloning and OS migration. Clone Disk creates an exact copy of one drive onto another, useful for upgrading to a larger disk. Migrate OS copies only the system partition and boot files to a new SSD, so you can swap your boot drive without reinstalling Windows. The WinPE bootable media builder (Pro only) lets you create a rescue USB that boots into a standalone partition manager when Windows will not start.
Additional utilities include MBR-to-GPT conversion without data loss, file system error checking (equivalent to chkdsk), and a partition recovery scanner that finds and restores accidentally deleted partitions.
Advantages
- Clean visual interface that previews all changes before applying
- Free version handles resize, merge, split, format, and create operations
- MBR-to-GPT conversion without losing data
- Partition recovery scanner can find deleted partitions
Drawbacks
- Disk cloning and OS migration locked behind the Pro paywall
- Free version shows upgrade prompts during use
- WinPE bootable media requires the Pro license
- Installer bundles optional extras that you need to decline manually
Who it is for
I recommend EaseUS Partition Master to Windows users who want a friendlier alternative to Disk Management but do not want to boot from an external USB like GParted requires. The free version handles everyday partition tasks well. If you need to clone a disk or move Windows to a new SSD, the Pro edition saves time compared to doing a clean reinstall.
